Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems.
We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best. Our preventive care utilizing complete physical exams, a common sense vaccination plan, and prophylactic dental care will help your pet live it’s life the best that it can be.
Our surgery suite offers all of the modern equipment necessary to perform surgery that range from the routine spays and neuters to more complicated orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. Dr Westenburg directs the surgical team for the surgeon and staff that will provide care for your pet.
Our anesthetic machines are of the highest quality, and recently purchased in 2007. All animals under going anesthesia will be monitored with pulse oximeter technology. This equipment was updated in 2008.
A dedicated licensed veterinary technician will watch over your pet from induction of anesthesia through recovery. All patients are monitored for heart rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and respiration rate.
Our x-ray machine is high quality and capable of taking radiographs of animals as small as pocket pets to the largest breeds of dogs. Our automatic film processor will develop your films quickly so that the veterinarian can continue with your medical workup in a precise manner.
Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.
All of the tests necessary to diagnose you pets illness are available and performed by accredited laboratories. All of our laboratories utilize good quality control and report reliable results.
A new fiber-optic endoscopy / colonoscopy unit is available to help diagnose gastrointestinal disease, take biopsies, and retrieve foreign bodies from the GI tract. Dr Jensen directs these endoscopic examinations and biopsies are submitted to a board certifies veterinary pathologist for interpretation.
We have one of the most complete veterinary pharmacies in the Omaha area. We work with licensed compounding pharmacists to provide owners with innovative methods of medicating their pets.
Dr Garner is in charge of the avian and reptile practice. She is an experienced practitioner in the medical and surgical care of these exotic pets. We have warming cages and special diets provided if the need arises that your pet would be hospitalized. Dr Garner also takes care of our rat patients.
Dr Mongan takes medical and surgical care of all of our furry little friends. She has extensive experience with ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils. All of the medications necessary are in stock in our pharmacy to meet your pet’s needs.
