Mobile Animal Clinic is equipped with a wide variety of diagnostic tools available to identify the nature of a pet’s medical condition. Our medical team is highly trained in accurately interpreting results and determining an appropriate care plan for your pet. All laboratory tests necessary to diagnose your pet’s illness are available and performed by accredited laboratories that maintain the highest quality control standards and consistently deliver accurate results.
Blood work is a key component of preventive care. At Mobile Animal Clinic, we use blood work to diagnose sick pets and ensure a pet is healthy enough for anesthesia. Blood work also provides valuable insight into your pet’s immune system, blood clotting ability, and the presence of infection.
Complete Blood Count (CBC)
Complete Blood Count is used for wellness screenings, routine blood work, and is typically run early in the diagnostic process. This blood test measures the red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets in your pet’s body, which allows us to identify health concerns such as anemia, infection, and dehydration.
A chemistry profile is used to assess organ functioning, particularly the pancreas, kidneys, and liver. It also shows blood sugar levels and the number of electrolytes in a pet’s body.
