We also use the services of Veterinary Surgical Specialists of Nebraska. This is a mobile surgical service that comes to our facility performing advanced and complex surgical services when needed. Dr. David F. Merkley is the Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon who provides this service. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University and obtained his surgical training at Michigan State University. He obtained diplomate certification by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1977.  He has spent over 35 years in veterinary surgical education (teaching, research and clinical surgery).

All veterinarians at Mobile Animal Clinic are highly skilled surgeons with a combined 68 years of surgical experience.  Along with routine spays and neuters, they perform complicated orthopedic and soft tissue procedures. Our surgery suite offers all the modern surgical and anesthetic equipment to perform procedures on the largest breeds of cats and dogs to the smallest of pocket pets such as hamsters and gerbils.
